Dato’ Calvin Chan, a wise, visionary and virtuous businessman started his entrepreneurial journey at 21-years-old, and achieved remarkable contributions in Malaysia’s mobile telecommunication industry by providing affordable mobile devices to lower income community enabling digitalization possibility.

Calvin has created “MMD” (Malaysian Mobile Device), MyFon and MyPad in 2010, the first Malaysian mobile brand that provides affordable mobile devices and tablets to lower income community to enable digitalization possibility.

With a simple philosophy, that more people can afford smart phones with higher performance at a lower price, so that they can connect all parts of the world through smart phones more quickly, and accelerate the popularization of the Internet, Calvin co-founded LEAGOO in 2015. Leagoo recorded extraordinary sales record and ranked Top 10 in Malaysia’s Mobile Devices Sales in 2016 GFK Report amongst the international big brands.

Calvin created remarkable increase of sales with LEAGOO during Movement Control Order via online platform and enabled the lower income customers to continue connecting to the world for work and education purpose with this high-performance digital gadget at lower price.

Speedy and Just-in Time production of LEAGOO Infrared Thermometer within 2 months from product development to delivery, has supported Malaysia’s community needs with approximately 1,000 units donated to hospitals and charitable bodies and all profits derived are donated to charitable bodies.

Calvin launched his own Malaysian brand of bubble tea, BLACK WHALE, in March 2019. Within 11 months, Black Whale reached a total of 43 outlets nationwide, and 2 in Brunei.
